4G Referral Bonus
MTN 4G Referral Scheme allows Customers to send an invite to their family & friends encouraging them to upgrade their SIMs to 4G, thereafter Customers receives a 1GB Data bonus while the referred customer receives a Free 10GB + 100% bonus on all data plans of up to N5000 + 25% Bonus on all data plans activated.
Customers receive the below notification for every successful referral;
‘’Yellow you have successfully REFERRED
HOW TO REFER A CUSTOMER
- USSD CODE: *131*2*Referred Phone number#
- SMS: text the keyword “REF(space)Referred Phone number(space)2” to 131
POINTS TO NOTE
The MTN 4G Referral Scheme service is open to all Prepaid & Postpaid customers on the MTN network who have 3G SIMs.
The Bonuses for both the Referral and Referred customer is activated after the Referred Customer has upgraded his/her SIM to 4G
The 1GB referral Data Bonus is valid for 1 day, the 4G referred data bonus is valid for 7 days while the 100% +25% data bonus has the same validity as the activated main data bundle.
The status of the 4G Upgrade can be validated by texting “4G” to 131
There is no limit to the number of customers that can be referred
To check the 4G and 100% +25% data bonus balance, Customers should send a text message 2 to 131 or dial *131*4# or *559*63#
