MTN Foundation Scholarship
The MTN Scholarship Schemes is an annual scholarship award that seeks to recognize and reward qualified high performing students. It is made up of MTN Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (STSS) and Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (SSBS).
Who can apply for the MTN Scholarship Schemes?
Students studying in public tertiary institutions (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education).
Is the scholarship open to students at all levels?
- For Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (STSS), It is open to students in their third year.
- For Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students (SSBS), it is open to blind students in their second year.
Are students in all disciplines free to apply?
- For Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (STSS) the application is open to students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) related courses.
- For Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students(SSBS), it is open to blind students studying any course.
What is the minimum required Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) for application?
- For Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (STSS) 3.5 (Universities) and 3 or its equivalent for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education).
- For Scholarship Scheme for Blind Students(SSBS) 2.5 (Universities) and 2.0 or its equivalent for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.
How are students selected for the MTN Scholarship Schemes?
Selection is based on the candidate’s performance in set criteria (Essay Writing, Test and CGPA) and tests will be administered online for MTN Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme (STSS) only.
